Ok, Here is the deal....
WHAT IF...
Q- You don't know much about the Bible and are afraid you might be embarrassed by what you don't know?
A- Discovery Bible study is a perfect place for you to safely discover the answers to your questions. You won't be "put on the spot" but helped. You will be surprised how quickly you will know how to find your way in the pages of the Bible, learn how to find answers, and know what it means. This study is designed to build your confidence in knowing God's Holy Word.
Q- You don't believe the Bible is the word of God or that Jesus was God's son, or even that there is a God?
A- Is this belief based on fact, on truth, or just a personal opinion? Do you feel that way because no one has adequately explained to you how we came to have the Bible and what makes it a book different from any other book that has ever been written? Is it because no one has shown you how Jesus Christ was different from any other person ever born? Discovery Bible study is a place to ask the questions, so you can have an informed belief based on true facts, not feelings.
Q- You've had bad experiences with churches, Christians, or ministers.
A- We understand, so have we. Disappointment, false teachers and deceptions do exist and there is also a devil who wants to discourage you from finding or growing in God.

Think of this- Just because there are many counterfeit diamonds out there, doesn't mean that real diamonds don't exist. You can learn how to tell the difference about diamonds... and about the Christian faith. Don't miss the treasure of faith in God because you've been fooled before by worthless pretenders.
In the New Testament, the Apostle Paul told the church at Thessalonica, (Chapter 5 verse 21)
"Test everything. Hold on to the good." We will always test what we learn by the standard of the Scripture.
WHAT IF...
Q- Your Priest, Pastor, Minister, or Rabbi told you not to read the Bible for yourself, but to just listen to what he says. Or what if you find the Bible hard to understand?
A- The Apostle John wrote in his first letter to the churches- First John chapter 4 verse 1
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
God did not give us a Bible to make his word hard to understand. It is not mysterious nor does it require a Bible school degree to learn it. Through all generations, simple and plain people have found faith, hope and comfort in its pages, and you can too. Discovery Bible study is reading the Bible for yourself and discovering the truth that is in there. My purpose is simply to help you in your discovery. Please come give it a try. Please let me point you to greater faith in God.
Q- Ok, pastor, what do you get out of this?
A- A pastor will get a lot out of your coming to the discovery Bible study. He gets to accomplish God's calling on his life, while helping others to discover God's purpose and plan for them. He gets to meet and make new friends. He gets to share with others the great joy he has found in Jesus Christ, and help them experience the same joy, peace, and personal relationship he has with God's Son, the Savior. He has the personal reward of knowing someone has a better life, a heavenly after-life, a greater faith, and God's love and acceptance, because he had a part in helping them discover the truth in Christ through the scriptures.
Now that you know the deal, will you please come to our pastor's Bible study? We are having it for you. Call our Pastor at 609-723-5511 for the time and location of our next Discovery Bible Study!
